Affiliate Disclosure
The boring but legally required stuff about how we make money.
King of Dice is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com.
In Plain English
How It Works
When you click on product links in our reviews and buy something on Amazon, we get a small commission. Here’s the deal:
• You pay the same price. Our affiliate link doesn’t add a cent to your cost.
• Amazon pays us a cut. Usually 1-4% of your purchase.
• This supports the site. Commissions help us buy dice to review and keep the lights on.
Where You’ll See These Links
Affiliate links show up in:
▸ Individual dice set reviews
▸ “Best of” roundups and comparison guides
▸ Accessory recommendations (dice trays, bags, etc.)
▸ Buying guides and starter kit suggestions
Our Reviews Are Not For Sale
Commission Doesn’t Drive Recommendations
We recommend dice based on quality, not commission rates. If a $10 set outperforms a $40 set, we’ll tell you—even though we make more money on the expensive one. Your trust matters more than a few extra dollars in affiliate fees.
We Buy Most Dice Ourselves
The majority of dice we review are purchased with our own money (or won in epic nat 20 moments). We occasionally accept review samples from manufacturers, but only for products we’d genuinely consider reviewing anyway. Free dice don’t buy positive reviews.
Negative Reviews Stay Up
If we tell you a dice set has poor readability or chips easily, that review stays—even if it’s costing us sales. We’ve had manufacturers ask us to remove negative reviews. The answer is always no.
Not Every Link Is an Affiliate Link
We regularly link to manufacturer websites, dice-making tutorials, game resources, and community discussions without any affiliate relationship. These links exist because they’re useful, not because they pay us.
You’re Not Obligated to Use Our Links
Using our affiliate links is appreciated but never required. You can:
- • Search for the products directly on Amazon
- • Buy from your preferred local game store
- • Purchase directly from dice manufacturers
- • Use any other retailer you trust
Our goal is to help you make informed decisions. Where you actually buy is up to you.
Prices Change Constantly
Amazon prices fluctuate. The price you see might be different from what we mentioned in our review. We try to keep things current, but always verify the price before buying.
Other Affiliate Programs
Amazon is our main affiliate partner, but we may join other programs with dice retailers or gaming stores. Any affiliate relationship will be disclosed according to FTC rules.
Supporting Independent Sites
If you find our reviews helpful and want to support the site, using our affiliate links is one way to do that. But the best support is sharing our content with fellow gamers and sending us feedback to help us improve.
Questions?
If you have questions about our affiliate relationships or editorial policies, email us at [email protected]. We’re happy to discuss how we maintain independence.
Thanks for supporting King of Dice. Now go roll some dice.
